engage girls
Inspiring individuals sometimes takes a little bit of a push. We chose to incentivize math by creating a competition. We gave all participants 3 weeks to create informative videos on any math topic of their choice. Before the competition, we created multiple surveys to collect information on what content people wanted to view videos on, we had over 100 responses! This information was available to all participants and will be posted below.
We believe that more young women will be more motivated to do math if the content that they view regarding math is created by women. We wanted to contribute to this by encouraging young women to create videos for us to upload to youtube.
